Chapel Mausoleum

The Mausoleum of the Madonna is an impressive, southern Italian-inspired two-story building, built to meet the cultural and religious needs of the growing surrounding communities. This 43,000 sq. ft. mausoleum features a central chapel topped by a large skylight, filling the area with natural light. Locking glass gates cloisters private family rooms, each featuring a roman-style leather bench and chandelier. Other building amenities include an espresso lounge and secured code-key access.

Chapel Mausoleum

In February 2001, CMC announced the completion of the Holy Family Mausoleum, one of the most prestigious mausoleums ever built in Canada. Constructed for the Archdiocese of Toronto in only 18-months, it’s located at Holy Cross Cemetery in Markham, Ontario. This first phase features 6,000 crypts on three floors, with plans for up to 12,000 crypts. Inside you will see two stunning staircases, walls clad in Turkish marble, arched keystones, massive columns, and a soaring 30-foot tall entrance hall.

Chapel Mausoleum

The Maryrest Chapel Mausoleum is a Romanesque, church-style chapel mausoleum clad in stone with two 49 ft. belfries. The architecture emulates the design of the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark with two bell towers flanking a majestic rose window. With 2,364 crypts, this mausoleum features a sky-lit chapel for committal services and monthly mass. The project also included a new administration building, cemetery grounds operations center, garden mausoleums, and more.

Chapel Mausoleum

The Our Lady of Hope Mausoleum is an architectural masterpiece, featuring an aerospace-inspired design. The mausoleum features two building segments bisected by a dramatic arched translucent roof skylight and a one-and-a-half story, south-facing glass wall overlooking the countryside. At the entrance of the building, visitors are greeted by a dramatic, cantilevered concrete structure. The first phase consists of 17,500 sq. ft., 1,400 crypt spaces and approximately 1,600 glass-front niches.

Chapel Mausoleum

The award-winning Lakewood Garden Mausoleum has 24,500 sq. ft. and is anchored by a two-level structure housing a committal chapel and a reception space. With over three quarters of the Mausoleum nestled into the hillside, it blends seamlessly into its surroundings. The Mausoleum has 4,800 niches and 750 crypts. In partnership with HGA Architects and Mortenson Construction, CMC was the mausoleum design consultant and performed specialty construction items, including all concrete and formwork.
